This item fit my baby girl perfectly, she is a 10 month old chihuahua weighing just over 5 pounds and I got the small. It is sturdy, it is incredibly warm, and felt custom made for her because it was shaped so well. The buttons down the chest are very strong and do not burst open or anything despite her vigorous activity, jumping and crashing around in the grass playing, keeping my baby as snuggled as possible in the baltic cold weather in the North East lately.
There is (like doggy pajamas etc) a small space for the lower abdomen and butt area, but the way they shaped it, it's really giving enough room for them doing their 'business' while covering as much as possible of everything else - no hygiene issues but equally no cold air getting in anywhere. One of the first things that happened while wearing it was another person out with their dog admiring her 'air force jacket'. I bought the red one at the same time, and I'm so glad I did - now we can rotate while one is getting hand washed on occasion. The hood can be rolled down, or if it's snowing or raining can be kept forward. My chihuahua has pointed ears and the hood fit perfectly over them and her face in a rigid manner so that if it was very cold she would enjoy protection on the head area.
These jackets are well made and I am confident my pup will see these through many a winter ahead - despite the jokes we had with her wearing her 'Top Gun' outfit, it is very important to keep small breads warm (especially short hair like mine) as they experience the cold much more at their height (warm air rises) and also because they have little body fat to help them. By getting this for my baby I am able to ensure she gets to do what dogs are meant to do - go walks outside with pack leader - while remaining cosy. Best product I've bought in a long time, I will be raving to everyone I know about this. In years gone by, I had 'bully' breeds like 'Staffordshire Bull Terrier" and I wished I had known these types of product existed because they also have short fur and the way this is designed is just so much more robust than the regular dog jackets I used to buy. We would have enjoyed many a more decent winter walk if I'd known about these things.
Tip - measure your dog correctly and take a chance at buying this, because you cannot beat the price. Make sure you note if you're using cm or inch measurements and triple check the columns on the chart to make sure you're doing it right. Worst case scenario donate to the local dog and cat shelter, someone will be glad of it. Good luck!

Exactly like the pictures. Super cute. Not a very heavy material. Got it for our new puppy so she doesn't get super cold on our night time potty breaks outside since it is mid fall and pretty chilly out and she's only 5lb!

My dog is 10lbs and i got small for her. Its very tight on her but if its any looser her short legs come off all the time. So this is good

I ordered a size L for our 15 lb. Lhasa-Apso dog. Even though it technically "fit" her, it kept coming off on it's own due to the neck area was cut funny & was down around her shoulder area. I washed & dried it, hoping it would help it fit better, but that technique didn't work. I gave it 2 stars, because it's a cute design & decent quality fabric & maybe it would fit a different shaped dog better, but sadly it's not working for our dog Precious. Guess I can't return it, now that I washed it.

The neck is stretchy which caused the whole thing to just slide over the dog. I went by your size chart and the XXL was also too big for my 22 pound Schnauzerdoodle.
Not going to return as these come from China and it was just to cheap to deal with a return but am throwing away.
