Overall it is very beautiful and of good quality but it is so hard to remove the case. It took me 45 minutes and a tool for leverage to remove the case and I was sure it was going to break. Not sure that it is worth it for hard it is to take the case off.

I ordered this for my wife for 5yr anniversary. We both love the look/feel/design of the item, but shortly after using it the wood started splitting through the grain and a chunk fell out, as well as a glue joint has started to split. We've initiated a return/refund of the item and we're trying again hoping our second item will hold up better. If our second one does I'll update the review to reflect that. Otherwise, it looks nice, but isn't practical and you'll experience issues with cracking/splitting of the wooden case.

I love mine. I got the walnut one- my only complaint (which I knew when I purchased it) is that it isn't made from a single piece of wood (rather than three pieces of walnut laminated together). Stupid "complaint", I know- but other than that I love the size, feel and weight that it adds. Feels good in my hand and fits snuggly inside my leather case. My wife likes mine so much she had me order one for her. Come to think of it, I'd like to see more options for different/exotic wood species as well. I'd probably have one of each, lol.
