I am very pleased with the Brightech LightView Pro 2-in-1 Dimmable LED Magnifying lamp. It has features beyond those expected in being able to see a magnified view of what ever you are working on. The base is extra heavy which prevents the light from tipping when moving the lamp unit. The flip up cover keeps dust from gathering on the magnifying surface when the light is not being used which for me allows me to leave it set up adjacent to my work area. The dimmable feature is great as sometimes light too bright means reflection from the surface of what you are working with. The adjustable booms allow for great positioning of the light relative to the work surface. All in all I highly recommend this light. Great value for cost. A good company interested in customer satisfaction and service.

This has Exceeded my expectations. The entire unit is well built, sturdy and works flawless. When turned on it automatically adjusts to neutral color (both LED sets on) and Medium brightness. I really appreciate that as it is VERY bright on high, and glad it turns on to the Medium level LOL.
Some folks complain about the size of the base, but it is necessary since the arm/head unit is NOT lightweight and the base must be the size and weight it is to not fall over. The arm is METAL (with white plastic cover trim) and not cheap construction like others with small bases. I have already made this my primary work light for my fine (tiny) Printed Circuit Board, Metalsmithing and Crafts. Outstanding Unit all around.

This lamp is very nice and has several great features (pros) such as the dimmable light and a light color change feature; the magnifier is wonderful and I will use this often in sewing and crafting. My cons would be that this lamp take up a large footprint on my desk - a large base and a fold out bar to keep it from tipping over plus. I would have preferred it stand beside my desk but the arm would not pull to the usable angle from the floor position. Also I would suggest to the manufacturer that they include more instructions because I was puzzled regarding the light dimmer and color changer - my son had to play with it to figure it out. I would recommend this lamp.

This light is wonderful. I use it by my recliner for beading embroidery work. It stays where I want it and the base is heavy enough for no tipping. I love the dimmable aspect as you can adjust both the magnifyer light and the main light. My only complaint would be while it does rotate out of the way the rotation range isn't enough so I push it a little farther and the base rotates on the floor--which works for me as mine is on hardwood--if you had carpet that might be a little annoying--although it would be an easy fix by putting it on a square tile on top of the carpet.. All in all it's a perfect light for me.

I have been searching for a spring arm tabletop lamp for a very long time and am writing this review after having used it for a couple weeks.
This light has more and better features than I orginally wanted. The warm light/cool light intensity ajustments come at a simple touch of the finger on the top of the shade. I am particular about color and this really satisfies me. I didn't think I would use the magnification feature all that often, but it is so convenient and helpful that I am glad it is there.
The only thing I would suggest for the makers is that it would be beneficial to have a bushing in the hole in the base where the arm mounting pin fits into the base so the lamp would stay put better when moved from side to side. My clamping drafting lamps all have this to better keep the lamp in the position you want it.
It would be nice to have it come in black, too, but this lamp is so nice that I still give it 5 stars
