I had an issue with Amazon shipping...said it would be delivered Wednesday, and got an email that it was delivered Wednesday to my home--only problem was that it was delivered to the post office Wednesday! It finally made it to me on Thursday!
Other than that snafu, the ECG looks pretty solid.
I did have 1 issue that could have been handled with more clarity. I couldn't get the device to take the first ECG with my iPhone! It just seemed never to connect! After perusing the FAQs and other on-line docs, I ran across a small statement that if you're wearing hearing aids, they should be turned off. After turning my aids off, it connected and monitored my ECG correctly. It sure would have been handier if the app would have either reminded me to turn off any hearing aids I may have been wearing, or better yet, told me that it couldn't read the ECG because of interference (most likely from hearing aids)...Just a suggestion for their developers.

I had become lightheaded and began to have an irregular heartbeat so I made an appointment with a cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In our conversation he happened to mentioned the Kardia and its app. Since I hadn't been diagnosed yet, turns out I have atrial flutter, I thought I'd buy one on Amazon and try this little thing out. As I mentioned, I've been a little lightheaded lately and I left the Kardia device in my jeans pocket and proceeded to put them in the laundry.
The jeans went through a complete wash and dry cycle with the Kardia in the pocket. I had no expectation for the Kardia to work but I took the battery compartment cover off, put in a new battery and it worked as good as new. I don't notice any differences in the readings before or after the wash/dry. I highly recommend this device as a monitoring device and commend the people at Kardia for its durability.

I have had this device just over a month. It stopped working so I assumed it was the battery and purchased a new one to replace the used one. I followed instructions for removing and replacing the battery. When I tried to replace the battery cover it will not engaged or stay in place so the battery just falls out. I called customer service today and they said I was not pushing hard enough on the battery cover. Their solution was to put some tape on the outside of this device. If this is the only way to repair this, it is cheaply made and hardly worth the $99 I paid for it. I asked if there was another cover I could purchase and the support person said no. I would like to return it for a replacement or refund

Does not work for BPM below 50. Should be an option. Will not return but this highly dissatisfying.

What a powerful device, albeit with a terrible flaw. This is a clever and easy way to quickly produce a lead 1 ECG tracing. I got a kick out of using this as a 3rd year medical student.

However once one month has passed, your iPhone's App (the interface with the device) strips away all features except recording a tracing/ECG (yes, you can no longer review or save your tracings).

If you'd like those features back, you will need to pay $10.00 per month.
