Used to be a fair deal, now they have raised the price for shipping by another $8 so it's no longer a good deal

I have family members who love these and I've bought them several times at a little over $18 with prime shipping. However, just recently they moved these to not be covered by prime and raised the price by $8 compared to the lemon flavor to cover a very high shipping cost. I won't be buying them any longer for that reason. Adding $8 for shipping is just plain out of line.

These are much as I remember them; they were my favorite candy growing up in the sixties. Of course, nothing like this is ever quite as good as it seems, in memory, that it was. But these are still pretty wonderful. Shared them with my nieces and nephews and grandchildren. They claim to be impressed, too!

some think its not as good as original but i think its great wish they would bring back the sour apple and watermelon too. its hard to find hard good sour candy. most are gummies.

Boy do these blow. A cross between a cherry lifesaver and a luden's cough drop. Virtually no tart sensation at all. What a disappointment. I only wish I had (in all my excitement) not ordered a case of them before doing some review research. If you are hoping for that flavor from long ago, save yourself the money and disappointment. A cherry lifesaver awaits you. Now if I can just dump them off on my younger co-workers....
