Great kit, great deal!

This is an awesome kit! I fixed the speedometer gauge on a 2005 rendezvous -- which would have cost at least $350 for the local dealership to fix. Not to mention that the most time consuming part of the job, which YOU still have to do if you're just taking the cluster to the dealership, is to remove all the trim, etc. to get the cluster out. The actual repair time to remove and replace the stepper motors was about 20 minutes -- I did all 4 motors even though the speedo was the only one with an issue at the time. I would definitely recommend watching a YouTube video both on how to take the cluster apart and on how to do the 'de-soldering' and 're-soldering' because there are NO directions with the kit. It was fun to do and worked VERY well.
Installed on a 2003 Chevy Avalanche

I have a 2003 Chevy Avalanche. I decided to buy this when both my temperature and gas gauges stopped working. I looked on youtube to see how the gauges are removed from the dashboard. The videos were very helpful. It was easy to remove the assembly from the dashboard and access the gauges.

Even though two stepper motors did not work, I replaced all six motors in my display. I do not solder much so my soldering skills suck. I was still able to remove the old motors and fumble my way to soldering the new motors onto the circuit board without too much difficulty. I used both the iron and sucker that come in the package. They are not fancy but they work.

The only minor complaint I have is that one of the motors failed after a week I had done the install. I notified Dr. Roc about the faulty motor and they promptly sent me a whole new package. I received it two days after I had notified them. Their customer service is excellent.

Even though I had to remove the gauge assembly again from my dash to fix the faulty motor I still feel that this is a good product with great customer service
Great kit! Do not trust the soldering iron. use it, but don't trust it.

servos were of great quality and exactly as described! DO NOT LEAVE THE CHEAP SOLDERING IRON UNATTENDED! the soldering iron does not seem to have any type of temperature regulator and melted itself to the point of shorting out sitting on the table next to me. luckily i was in the shop (less flammable surfaces) instead of the house where i did the cluster repair. still use the solder sucker to this day though.
Simple if you know how!

A very Complete kit with the exception of no directions!!! If you are not familiar with this type of work you might be intimidated by it. After you install the new motors install the dash back in the car and cycle the key on and off a couple of times then remove the dash again and install the pointers in the O position (0 mph, 0 on the gas gauge etc.) Otherwise you might install the pointers and then when you cycle the key they can be way off!!!
The soldering iron is great also the solder sucker works like a charm. If they informed you of the process I stated above it would be easy for anyone to repair their dashboard gauges in less than an Hour!! Good luck!!!
Great motors, don't waste money on iron

The motors are great. You need these to save yourselves literally hundreds of dollars. However, the soldering iron was unfortunately terrible and went up in smoke a minute after I plugged it in. Thought it might stop, but nope... had to borrow someone else's. The orange plastic piece has been useful not only for the needles but getting the dash apart too. This was done on a 2005 Chevy Impala. Take not that those bulbs aren't LED's though.. they look like they are just tiny bulbs with filament in them.
