We have a sunroom in Florida that was probably an outside area prior to a former renovation so the insulation was non existent at the sunroom ceiling. We have the thermostat at 72F and it would end up at 77 each day after a hot sunny afternoon. The a/c guy was here prior and measured the sunroof ceiling at 99F with a temperature sensor. We were frustrated with the hot temps inside every day and bought this product and mixed it into the paint and started painting the ceiling today. I started to paint the ceiling mid day and had half the room painted and the thermostat went from 74 down to 73 after applying the Hy-tech, which it would NEVER go down in temperature prior to this during a hot sunny day. Then further painting the rest of the sunroom and it went down to 72 where we had it set. It has been 72 since, which we have never had a stable temperature for the last two summers as the a/c could never keep up. It previously would be at 76 or 77F inside and it is now at 72F. THIS STUFF WORKS.

Our stucco on masonary home has a hot wall on the West side; there's no shade and the afternoon sun just bakes the wall. Inside the home, this same wall puts out heat till after midnight, especially when the temperature is above 90F. I mixed the two gallon ThermaCels additive pack into two gallons of paint. I added a quart of water and then rolled the paint on. There is no difference in color and the paint was nice to work with. There is a noticable reduction in surface temperature, perhaps 50 percent less heat in the late afternoon, compared to an untreated area on the same side of the house. Radiating warmth on the inside at night is even less, about 75 percent less. I recommend using this product on any exterior surface where sun exposure and heat gain is a concern.

I have painted the south wall of my house so far. It has changed the temperature of these rooms significantly. What used to be the hottest rooms in my house by 2-3 degrees are now 1-2 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. I plan to paint the rest of the house but we are having triple digit weather this week. June 2017 The Great Central California Valley
