I have 4 different passport cases (don't ask) and this is far better than any of them. On of them was over $40. The quality is excellent - and yes it is real leather. It is supple and utilitarian. It is a passport case only. No extra pockets for anything. So you won't lose your credit cards, driver's license, trusted traveler ID, and money along with your passport in one go. (This actually happened to me in Paris once - the "deux droits" or "two fingers" AKA pickpockets got me on the Metro. I never knew when it happened. They were good at their craft).

It's A Very Nice Product But...

It's a very nice product but... the embossing is not lined up in the center. Thought maybe it was just mine but it's identical to the image on the product page. But it becomes more exaggerated once you install your Passport. It won't stop me from using it but it will stop me from liking and recommending it to friends.

It arrived on time.. I purchased a Maroon and Pink cover.. They Maroon felt a bit thicker and better quality. The Pink was more flimsy, thinner, more plastic feel. The Maroon was a tight fit didn't allow for passport to properly close. The pink was a better fit.. Overall inconsistent but good product. Each color had different pros and cons. If I can get the quality of Maroon and fit of the Pink this would awesome..

Nice passport protector, with a vintage leather feel. The only issues are, 1) at several immigration points, you must remove your passport from the protector, 2) with the passport in (which is a snug but accurate fit), the case doesn't fully close flat. All that being said, I'm glad I have it, and I insert just one end of my passport, leaving the other side just covered by the protector, but not inserted.

I bought two of these passport covers-- one in the vintage Brown leather, and one in shiny brown leather. I was skeptical originally after reading some reviews. I was buying one for my father, who is a connoisseur of good leather, so I was taking a chance with these. Right away upon opening, I knew these were the real deal. They smell and feel like authentic leather, as far as I can tell. Perhaps the other colored covers have a different consistency, but the two brown covers were perfect.
For those wondering, these can accommodate US passports with 64 stamped pages as well as the smaller ones.
The only thing I would change is the size of the Shvigel logo on the inside of the passport. I wanted to get the inside of this monogrammed from an external source, but it would be too crowded with the monogram and the logo.
