Reasonably priced glass food storage option

I've been trying to reduce products with BPA in my home and changing food storage containers was one of the #1 recommendations. However, glass options can be crazy pricey. I ordered these because they were one of the more highly reviewed, reasonably priced options out there. They are definitely well worth the price. The glass is thick and I've been able to microwave food in them without them cracking. The two slight downsides are that they do get heavy and the lids can be a bit difficult to secure, as the colored ring in the lid can slide out of position. Neither of these things remotely off sets the benefits of the containers though and they are well worth the purchase if you are looking to move to glass storage.
Broke in half in the oven.

The product claims it is safe for oven use. I placed my glass container in the oven (without the plastic lid) and it broke in half right in the middle. The product is no where near safe to use in the oven.

I like these so much I may order some sets for Christmas presents for the cooks on my list!. I bought them because I am washing dishes by hand, and got tired of the plastic ones never seeming quite clean. The glass is thick and I don't think they will chip or break easily. Also, the lids seal tight. The surprise was how much colder they keep things like sliced fruit and salad ingredients in the fridge. And yes, they get nice and clean with hand washing.

I really like the different sizes. These are perfect for storing left overs in the frig. Easy to see and non spill. Great sizes and perfect glass! I threw away all the all old plastic Tupperware containers.

Am pleased with this purchase. For me this number of pieces was a good option as I did not need a large number of items for leftovers. The items arrived safely and undamaged. The lids fit well and snap on easily. I would not hesitate to purchase these again if I needed more, and would recommend to family, friends and other Amazon customers.
