As others have mentioned, it's a tight fit and a bit tough to install, but it's a great product to have for that extra security. You can still use the tray, but you have to take out the tray every time you have to open the insert door.
Instructions not bad but not great - about 30 minutes to install

It was a bit difficult to figure out the installation for a few minutes. I couldn't really find many detailed YouTube videos and the written instructions weren't great. They're not bad, but I've seen some kids toys with more detailed drawings and instructions.
Overall it took me about 30 minutes to install. If I were to do it again I bet I could easily do it in 5 minutes. It's not difficult once you figure out how to angle things in and get the screws in correctly.

Arrived promptly. Installation was easy enough - it is tight and you have to work with it some but the result is something that looks like it was factory installed. 1/8" gap around the edges.
One thing I had a question on before I purchased - was this a complete steel box? No. It is a steel lid and support structure. The plastic of the console forms the sides of the box. A determined smash and grabber could possibly smash the entire console to gain access - if they had the right tool and time. I am comfortable that the simple appearance of steel lid, lock and solid feel will deter 99% of those that would break in by making it easier to go to the next vehicle.

Ordered this safe to install on my 2017 F-150. I looked at other safes that were very similar for 259.00. Tuffy products met or exceeded in quality other high priced safes. No buyer's remorse here ! Fit like a glove. On a side note be sure to remove the rubber liner inside the console before you extend the legs. After installation place the rubber mat back in place for a finished look. The best part i was able to used my junk drawer and close the armrest with it in place..
If you have a 2015 or newer F-150 with center console, then get this.

This fit perfect and now we have a secure location to leave a wallet and phone and other items. Having had my car broken into previously by the thieves that follow the UPS FedEx trucks I ordered this for my new truck. Now It is secured. If you have a 2015 or newer F-150 with center console, then get this.
