Extra sharp plastic pieces

I have purchased this product once before but this will probably be the last time- probably 1 out of 3 have extra plastic piece on closure part which I had to cut off because it could rip the clothing I was putting it on. It was sharp enough to snag fabric and they were way easier to pull back out once closed- not making it secure.

These are definitely NOT security tags. They do not lock permanently as the description states! I am not that strong, and I tested a few of them many times. All of the ends came back out when I pulled and could be re-used again.
I sell a lot of merchandise online and was planning on using these as security tags to prevent fraudulent returns by customers, but the loose end can easily be pulled back out and then reinserted. Dishonest customers would be able to pull out the end of the security tag, use the merchandise, and then put the tag back on and try to return it.
The video shows how easy it is to pull the end out. There is no permanent lock or breakage to prevent reuse of the same tag. I have the plastic loops that do lock permanently but was hoping to find a good version of the threaded tags that some retail brands use. No luck so far.
