Best Shot at the Sweetspot Whaen Using A Capo
Dennis✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 24, 2017
Of all the variations of capo out there, this one is the best I've used. The stretchy band around the post and heavy chrome lever types are too difficult to position but this spring loaded type can be re-positioned with just a squeeze to get away from that buzz or mute that you run into at times or that intonation glitch away from the sweet spot from guitar to guitar. It's not 100% clamp and play but it's better than other designs I've seen. Still waiting on the perfect capo.
Excellent all-around capo and great for playing live
Eric Lovgren✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 3, 2017
It may not be the perfect capo, but for playing live it will never let you down. I like capos that offer some fine-tune control while playing at home to get the best tone. This isn't adjustable. However, when playing live, you need to know the capo will work without buzzing or having dead strings. This one fills that bill. Clamp it and play with confidence. It also stays out of my way with the low profile over the fretboard. No risk of damaging the guitar, either. There may be capos that have the potential to sound better but this one is reliable and fast, which means a lot in a live setting.
Lasts forever. Super Worth.

I have had this for so long already, about 6 years, and now I got to review it. The capo is a gem, its design and functionality is very good. The thing is tough specially at first, and you want that so that it doesnt get loose as you use it.

When I use this it presses on my strings very well and allows me to play with ease. The capo after 6 years is still tight and functions like new. I love it and it helps me enjoy playing my guitar.

Pros
- lasts forever
- works on both Electric and Acoustic
- design makes it easy to use and adjust

Con
- you dont have it yet. BUY IT now.
Excellent quality Capo made of heavy duty Aluminum, that's also "Made In USA"

Excellent quality Capo made of heavy duty Aluminum, that's also "Made In USA". This capo is wide enough to cover the my son's Lucero LC100S acoustic guitar (which has a wide neck). We previously used a cheap capo from eBay, but it didn't cover all the strings. The spring is strong, but doesn't leave any "clamp" marks on the neck. This capo was recommended to us by my son's Flamenco teacher, and it works great.
Better than the G7th for more than half the price.

I have recently been experimenting with different capos, though I have used a Shubb for years and recently purchased one with an updated design. Nevertheless, I'm pleasantly surprised with this capp. I have another, what I would call a "lever-action" capo, that I got for about the same price. I have been reasonably happy with that one, but this particular capo exerts more pressure than the G7th capo I bought for easily twice the price. In fact, I find this one to be a better capo than the G7th. MOre than likely, I will robably alternate between my new Shubb and this capo, so I am very happy with it.
