BELT WAS TOO BIG!

This vacuum cleaner (Shark NV450) is the WORSE when it comes to taking it apart to begin with. It is not made to be opened up.
The belt was too big. NOT the right part. WASTE OF MONEY! My belt literally fit inside of this one! The part number on my belt is 'Gates 207-3GT-6-43115'. The number on this belt is '231-3M-6mm'.
THEN WE HAD TO PIECE BACK THE SWEEPER (without a new belt) & ATTEMPT TO ALIGN EVERYTHING UP SO I CAN PUT THE SCREWS BACK IN!
I emailed Shark for the part number because it was NOT in the manual OR on their website & I was told that the belt wasn't to be replaced!
I will NEVER buy this brand of sweeper again!

My Shark vacuum worked, but seemed to be rather sluggish. I thought that it might just need a new belt since it had never been replaced. That was exactly the solution. The vacuum works better than it has in many months. It makes cleaning a lot easier. Now, the dust in the apartment next door gets nervous.
