This jacket is GREAT!!! The only reason I took one star off is it does have a strong oily smell that others have mentioned but it eventually wears off, cant smell it now and I have yet to wash it. It also has an odd pocket lay out. The two side pockets are too high up to be comfortable to walk with your hands in them as I tend to do. Other than that its great. Really warm, a GREAT wind block, rain resistant (maybe thats the oily smell???), really large hood, and I love the velcro on the sides to place patches on. I have the flag on one and dont tread on me patch on the other. I get non stop compliments.
But it's not a bad deal for the price

The design is a little odd -- the location of the side pockets are too high, the hood is enormous. But it's not a bad deal for the price. I would probably buy again.

I usually buy medium, I read the size chart and found out large is equivalent to most others medium. I'm 5'5" 170. Sleeves are a little long for me unless I use the thumb holes. The black lining for the pockets show when you wear the jacket open and looks a little weird (I got the sand colored), if it's zipped up even 1/2 way, you don't see it. I thought it was a good jacket for the price. I was surprised buy the thickness of the fleece. For the money, it's a good buy.
