Great unit at a fair price, with some minor insights after some usage.

Powerful, relatively compact (including the built in battery) unit - with a great wireless system.
One knock I had with it was the crank which secures the angle of the strobe is plastic & I wondered about it's durability. Sure enough, one day on set I over tightened it and stripped the threads - locking it into that one position. Disconcerting, however I was very pleasantly surprised with how prompt support was to send out a replacement part - which was rather easy to replace. All in all, for the money, I rate this 600Ws strobe very highly - unless you have the budget to spend lots more for a Profoto unit.
Oh, PS, Godox, it would be great if you would come out with an easy cover for the strobe bulb to be used for applying gels (CTO & such) - there are a few DIY ways (other than using a barn-door setup with framed gels), but it would seem not that big a deal to build such a modular option to make strobe color adjustments easy.
All in all, thanks for crafting this instrument.

One Of The Best Portable Lights On The Market

I'm always looking at portable lighting solutions with enough power for Hypersync. I read enough about this to buy one to try for some upcoming editorial and advertising work. It works better than expected, with the remote it actually works for high speed sync at almost every power setting, something I don't get with any other strobe system. I haven't yet tried this with PocketWizard gear, but I may not need to.
I didn't get the TTL version, as I saw no need as I shoot everything manually. The ability to control power via the transmitter, wirelessly, is truly amazing!
The Bowens mount is really nice, works great with reflectors and softboxes. One of the better ways to attach modifiers to a light, and I'd recommend this since it is more universal than a proprietary mount like Godox' own. I am truly blown away at the power and versatility of this, I can even take it on a bike to shoots, it's so portable! I'll likely buy another one or two.

This light is terrific, and I couldn't be happier!
I recently shot with this flash at intervals of half to full power for THREE HOURS of constant shooting with two models and it didn't even run out a majority of the battery life. The first photo posted here reflects that shoot. The second photo was my most recent shot, using the light on a beauty dish at the lowest power setting. I was able to show her real movement while capturing her face crisply using rear curtain sync. I don't think my speedlights could have performed this beautifully.
It's not too heavy, the construction seems solid, and the controls are easy to understand without a manual. Just remember though, if you don't have a C-Stand you're going to want to invest in one.
My only two complaints would be:
The modeling light is a bit dim. It works for my autofocus, but it might not work for everyone in patch black situations.
Every Godox light I have likes to reset itself to full power at random. It's likely a problem with my trigger, but I'm mentioning it just in case.
UPDATED REVIEW:
After having my light for a year and a half I bought another, and let me tell you I can't see myself ever switching to anything else. I have never, EVER had my battery die on me at a shoot. Even ones that I'm shooting full power for hours, these things are amazing. I recently upgraded to the pro godox trigger which I highly recommend as well to make it even easier to remotely control your power settings. These lights are absolutely perfect and I suggest you grab one! Updating my photos for the review as well!

I've had this about a year now. Although I do prefer shooting natural light this thing is a BEAST of a strobe. I got it paired up with my Sony a7iii and it's the perfect strobe for any portraiture shoot. I would not recommend this if you like run and gun due to it's size and it doesn't come with a case. This thing is HUGE! Also I would recommend getting a sturdy c-stand for this thing. It produces great lighting and it's easy to use as long as you have the proper godox wireless flash triggers. I own this and I have the tt865s along with 2 ad200. Godox knows strobes!2 if you're looking for a good budget strobe that can give you great results then look no further.
This is an excellent monolight

Thus far I have found this light to have very good color balance and the exposure is very consistent. I also like the LED modeling lamp, as it is bright enough for focusing and doesn't get very hot at all. The unit is easy to use - if you've used other Godox flashes you won't even need to read the instructions. I find that the brackets tightens securely and will hold large soft boxes. I also like that the umbrella mount has a retaining screw and doesn't reply on a spring mechanism to hold an umbrella in place. If you buy this light go ahead and buy the AC adapter with it. If you are like me, you like to have the freedom of no cords, but the peace of mind of knowing if the battery croaks you won't be out of commission!
