The boat arrived damaged in the bow and Amazon discounted the price off of the boat. The boat seat is comfortable and adjustable. The cockpit is large enough to get in and out of without worrying about being trapped inside of the hull if you were to capsize. This is doubtful because the boat is very stable. The drop skeg in the stern was a selling point for me, but I have to admit it helps the boat track in a straight line at the expense of inducing quite a bit more drag to the boat taking more effort to paddle it. A more molded deep keel may be the way to go.

One of the best all purpose recreational kayaks out there, period.

This is a well built kayak that feels a decent bit lighter than the equivalent weight Perception Joyride at 50lbs that I checked out at a store, even though this has a much nicer well designed metal frames seat, a skeg, much more load capacity and a skid plate!!! I can carry it with one hand (5-10 160 lbs male) holding the side edge near the seat for 50-100 feet, but recommend a kayak cart for longer distances. The rear bulkhead was actually well sealed (which was a huge plus, the description on WS says its merely got foam floation blocks - this must have a been a late additional model year upgrade in July 2022 when my Kayak was built). The Seat is so good NO other non-WS kayak has anything like it, its much better than the seats in even the expensive Eddyline kayaks.

The galaxy color is different Vs the photo on WS and amazon (no black in it but dark blue), but still excellent (see my photo).

Delivery was on time per the Amazon estimated delivery window, driver called me 10 mins away. Kayak had cardboard below and was wrapped in plastic - all in all it was LIGHTLY packaged which made for easy disposal but risked being damaged. Fortunately the kayak was perfect. The only negative was the deliver driver and his assistant didnt wait while I inspected the kayak, they said it would be in good condition and dropped it off and drove away, lol. If the kayak was damaged given they didnt let me inspect it I would have rated the delivery much lower.

I love this kayak so much I have purchased 2 of them. Im 6'4" and fit great, kayak does not ride low in the water. The compartment in back has been water tight for the 5+ years I've used my first one. I love the seat, its adjustable and provides good air flow. Or if you get some water in it drains well and you do not feel like you're just sitting in a puddle. The drop down step is great and makes a huge difference in control.

The skeg is great for windy days as it was windy the first day I had it on the water"¦it stayed straight and tracked well in the water"¦the seat is very comfortable, and didn't take long for me to figure out because I'm a man and I don't read directions"¦the water bottle mesh pocket on the seat in between your legs is awesome"¦the hill is sealed by the manufacturer so you don't have to"¦the paddle straps in front are great to quickly slide the paddle into and snap pics"¦the foot pedals have an extended hand adjustment lever to easily adjust them"¦no more footsies with the old way of unlocking with your toes"¦high end knee pads"¦this is my first kayak I ever owned"¦I've borrowed a lot, but this one by far surpasses all of those kayaks"¦I almost bought the pelican pioneer xr 100"¦this is a great kayak"¦built well, has a lot of the options needed for a comfortable and relaxing kayak ride"¦we even got to see an eagle on our trip"¦

Warning: the delivery service is terrible and I took 5 weeks to get my kayak"¦do some research as you can travel a few hours to get your kayak from a store than wait 5 weeks with a bunch of 5th grade excuses"¦they sent me the wrong kayak the 3rd try"¦and then lied and said they couldn't deliver it on the 4th try because it showed up late"¦it was a lie because I was on vacation and had to change the delivery date to the next week and it was showing that it was delivered to the warehouse an hour away that Tuesday"¦really unprofessional and uncaring delivery service"¦but that's not the kayaks fault"¦wilderness systems customer support is like the government"¦they could care less what happens to you"¦I was brushed off and hung up on"¦my suggestion would be to buy it at a retail store and drive the extra mileage instead of waiting for the children left behind to deliver your kayak"¦

This is a really sturdy and well manufactured kayak"¦you can tell someone who's struggled with limitations on a kayak helped design this kayak"¦ a mid level recreational kayak that has more than what you need for a nice paddle on flat lakes and rivers

It's a little heavy for me, but still manage -- it glides fine and lot's of space and storage
My first kayak, so not sure about responsiveness compared to others. Really enjoying it!
