Bought this 2-Pack of Hausbell 7W Mini LED Flashlights for my 93 year old mother-in-law. She was using a cheap little LED light that always had issues with the AAA battery-holder contacts making a poor connection. Figured I'd get her a decent light that if she misplaced it, it wouldn't be a big deal.

These lights appear to be well made, especially considering the price. The tail-cap threads are smooth, the switch operation is solid, and the slide zoom is smooth. Light output is good for a single AA battery flashlight, and it has three light modes: High / Low / Strobe.

I did find two minor annoyances with the lights.

1) When you zoom in (focusing the light beam into the smallest "dot") the beam becomes square: looks sort of like an "E" inside the square. As you get more distance from what you're looking at, it becomes more obvious. You can zoom back out a bit and "round" it out if you wish, and you won't lose much light if you do. (The photo I've attached is with the flashlight about 5 feet way from a wall).

2) The tail-cap switch works well, but a bit different from the lights I've owned/used in the past. Here is the click progression:
1st Click - High Beam
2nd Click - Off
3rd Click - Low Beam
4th Click - Off
5th Click - Strobe
6th Click - Off
After that it repeats the progression.

So if you always want to use the High Beam, you'll have to click through these steps each time you use the light. However, once the flashlight is on, you may also partially depress the tail-cap button and step it though w/o the extra "Off" clicks. In any case, you just can't always start with High Beam with a single click - you do need a few extra steps.

All in all, it's a nice, bright little light and looks like it will last a while.

I bought several boxes of the Hausbell 7W Flashlights for my own personal use and for give aways when I travel. Guys especially love this tactical flashlight. The flashlight has the same features as its 3-battery cousin and is almost as bright. The advantage is this mini me version is lighter, uses just 1 battery, and has NO battery pack which could get lost. It can focus its light, make it brighter and can do the blink mode. It's supposed to be waterproof but I'd rather not test that feature. I like this version because it's lighter and convenient to put in my purse when I go on long trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific flights. It allows me to see without turning on my reading light and bothering other passengers. It's also useful for those who work in the dark such as doctors, nurses, waiters, etc. or just something to have in the car or at the bedside especially during the hurricane season or when travelling on a ship or plane. I recommend this product.

This is a nice flashlight for the price. I've had other cheap ones and they stop working after a short period of time and stop working if I drop them, so from that perspective it seems to be a good buy; although I haven't had it very long I have already dropped it a few times and it hasn't had any problems. It is also very bright; I'm amazed it can get that much light from one tiny battery. I didn't give it five stars due to a couple of somewhat annoying features. One (and this is my own fault I guess) I did not realize when I bought it that it switches between three modes (bright, lower bright, and strobe/SOS). It's not in the product main description but going back after the fact I did find it listed in small print. It's a minor annoyance because I really only wanted the bright mode and I usually have to click it a few times to get it to the correct mode. I did find out that I don't have to push the button all the way to get it to switch modes so that has made it a little better. It also did not come with any kind of strap (I stole one off of one of my busted cheap flashlights, so problem solved, but buyer be warned). I have not tried to use the clip yet - it seems hard to open but looks like it would not fall off easily once clipped. The third somewhat annoying thing is that using them to view close up surfaces, the light has sort of a brown halo effect around the edges. I was using it to help clean up a dog potty accident in a dimly lit room and kept thinking I was missing stains that weren't really there. The description says adjustable focus range, but I have not found any way to adjust the size of the beam or focus range. Turning it just unscrews the top and has no effect on the beam size, and nothing else appears to move. If the focus range is adjustable then that feature is well-hidden.

I love my lights, i buy alot of them, im not an expert but i have many lights i can compair with, this is not bright by any means, i thought it was just the one i put the battery in but no they are both very dim compaired to most i lined them up with, im dissapointed but i hope my review helps someone else. iv posted 2 photos of the ones i just bought for the same price and by far the LE adjustable light takes the win, its about 5 times the brightness, and you will be happy, cuz its crazy bright.

These little LED lights are very useful. They will work with a standard AA battery, but will not be very bright. I would suggest getting 14500 series Lithium-ion batteries, instead. The difference between a 3.7 Volt Lithium-ion battery and 1.5 Volt AA battery is significant.

The light has 3 settings (bright / dim / strobe), and has adjustable focus. If you turn off the light and wait a few seconds, it will reset to 'bright'. If you turn it back on sooner, it will go to the next setting. You can also go to the next setting by tapping the button while the light is on. You adjust the focus by pushing/pulling the front part (the lens holder) forward and back.

The body is made of solid aluminum, and is really strong. I don't think you'll have to worry about breaking it. But the anodizing is pretty thin, and wears off easily. If you're worried about appearance, that may disappoint you. The "glowing rings" are basically just glow-in-the-dark rubber bands. I imagine they'll eventually deteriorate, like all rubber bands do.

I carry one of these in my pocket pretty much all the time now. It's become part of my EDC (every day carry). And I'm glad I bought them.
