I haven't really use it, but I'm confident that it's going to work. I have a fitbit device and when I use my treadmill I hold on to both rails so I don't get an accurate reading on my device, even though my treadmill says 3 miles, fitbit says a lot less mileage! ! Last week I had one arm loose and the other holding the rails. I got a more accurate reading ! With this belt I'll be able to have both arms loose with fear of falling and get a better reading on my fitbit device.

I rarely have the time to write reviews but fell compelled to so after using this product for about a month now. I think anyone should consider getting this belt even if they are not at high risk as I am. As an athlete who developed epilepsy a couple of years ago this is a true life saver for me. I can run again on my home treadmill, and steady pace as well as on incline and at fast speed alterations, without fear of injury or death. I was worried the belt would be uncomfortable, restricting, or not strong enough, but none of those concerns proved true. The belt is extremely comfortable and not only keep me safe, but also supports my back and balance when I run.

Due to a neurological condition my balance is off making walking for exercise very difficult and unsafe. This belt is easy to use and provides plenty of stability. I have stumbled and fallen twice while using this belt and on both occasions it "caught" me and prevented me from falling all the way to the floor. I am 6' tall, 250 lbs. and there is plenty of room for this to be used with a larger person.

The gym where I exercise (24 hour fitness) does not do a good job of maintaining the stop cords on their treadmills. Most of them are gone and the few in place are frayed so I felt very unsafe since I have a gimpy knee and ankle and my balance has never been good. Since I did not feel like going off the end of the treadmill at 4 miles per hour, I started looking around for a solution.
This item fits the bill. I have used it a few times now and I feel very secure. Even if I were to fall, the fact that the belt crosses in front of me and below my arms means the belt will keep me from going off the end. Nothing, of course, will prevent a fall if you misstep and I don't expect it to do so. I just want it to keep me in position on the treadmill where I can hit the stop button if that does happen.
It attaches to itself by means of super heavy grippy velcro pads (that are about 3" by 4") at the two ends of the belt. Because the whole rest of the belt is material the Velcro pads can latch onto you can size it to suit how close or far away you want to be from the front of the treadmill because the belts are very long (I got the medium). And when I say "super heavy grippy" I mean just that. There is no way the Velcro will come loose on its own. It is, in fact, a struggle to get it ripped off the target material when I want to unattach it.
There is one thing, they are supposed to fix the wording on their Ad regarding shipping since I made them aware of how misleading it is. It says "free express shipping" which leaves one to think that shipping is free. It isn't. They charge you standard but ship it express. I got the belt in just about 3 business days.
