I am so disappointed in this serger

I am so disappointed in this serger. I got maybe a grand total of one hour of sewing time out of it before it quit. Even before it quit, the motor would hesitate a second before the needle bar would start moving. Sometimes I would have to give it some help with the hand wheel just to get it going. When the stitching/cutting actually started, it worked well. I oiled it at the instructed points before starting to serge, exactly like it showed in the manual. I rethreaded it, tried different needles, new thread cones, nothing that I could do without tearing it apart helped. Eventually the motor started slowing down, then it started smelling like burnt oil, then the motor quit even turning on. I returned it after owning it for 12 days.
