This little hummer is working just fine, especially at the price! I'm using it with the 50 gallon auxiliary tank/tool box combo I bought on Craigslist and installed in my F350. So glad I did this! The pump is connected to one of the extra switches on the dash of the F Super Duty series. So when the main tank gets down to a quarter tank or so, I just turn on switch # 1 and watch it fill up! I installed this about 4 months ago, have taken a couple of long trips and it worked great!

So I bought this electric for my YJ Wrangler, and with some wiring changes (Jeeps have awful electrical systems) the electrical pump is working well. Only a handfull of operating hours, so I'm hoping it will continue to work.

I used this pump on my 1970 VW Beetle and am very pleased. I had previously replaced the stock mechanical pump with an electric impulse driven pump to combat a problem with vapor lock on hot days (the car would stall at intersections due to fuel evaporation in the pump sitting right on top of the hot engine). This impulse driven pump solved the vapor lock problem, but had irregular pressure and made my car stutter on straight stretches of road. I decided to try my luck with the CarBole 42S, which is a rotary driven pump, and am satisfied. My car no longer stutters, which points to an even, smooth flow of fuel. The noise it makes is a bit different: where my old impulse pump ticked, this one has a low whine--not unpleasant (can't even hear it when the car is running), just different.

When I went to install this fuel pump, the output fitting just fell out of the body of the pump. This fitting is just pressed in, you can't just screw it back in). But rather than go through the hassle and delay of getting a replacement (which Amazon has always been very good about), I coated the insert with Loctite 620 and repressed it back in on a vise. That seems to work fine, and the pump has worked very well since.
