Long-lasting fun!

This was a great purchase for my 4 yr old niece! She had a blast putting it together and it is still a toy she loves to play with even a year later. She is a bit young to play with this without help as it takes some work to make sure everything is balanced and that the runs connect, but it's a great cooperative activity for her to do with her older sister or the adults in the family. The pieces are well constructed and the transparent pieces make it more exciting to watch where your marble will fall. This large set of 85 pieces is a good amount to build some neat configurations but I'm planning on buying another set to augment our first one.

Good marbles, fun pieces, needs stronger/weightier bases

This set is a lot of fun for our family - ages 9 to 60. The marbles are heavy glass instead of plastic. The only complaint is that the bases (the horseshoe-shaped feet) could be more stable.

I bought this for the kids (3 and 4) who are still a little too young to build anything by themselves. Every base is snapped together with a smaller plastic insert (which have all broken). The bases will still hold up the structure but won't withstand kid pressure I guess. I got lost playing with this for about an hour and a half...

Gave my son this for his 3rd birthday, and I've played with it every day since. The marble run is awesome, and it fits together great. We bought extra marbles and can get like 200 marbles going at once. It's entrancing. But then my toddler is all like, "Mom, I want to play" and ends up knocking it over and wrecking the whole thing.
Seriously, he's not old enough to put it together himself yet, but he loves playing with it once I do. Great for all ages, just be cautious of the choking hazards of the marbles.
