I really wanted to love this cup because we were desperate to get our daughter off of the bottle. The little side handles are great and the weighted straw allowed her to drink from any angle. I think the cup is good. I am only giving it 4 stars because I do feel that a lot of patience (on both the part of the child and the parent!) is needed. There is only a really small flow that comes out of the straw which seemed to frustrate my daughter. On the cleaning end, this is where my frustration kicked in. The straw is really narrow and that, in combination with the weight part at the end, made it incredibly hard to clean. Neither me nor my daughter had the patience to stick with this cup!
The magic cup

we've been through maybe 6 or 7 different sippy cups. some had a straw with a hard edge my baby didn't like, were hard to clean or -the biggest thing- leaked EVERYWHERE. This cup does take a little extra on the cleaning front but it doesn't spill the only water that winds up on the floor is because my son doesn't always remember to swallow lol.

great cup. perfect size. I don't like the super tall sippy cups for my small baby but this one still holds a great deal of water (lol or prune-apple juice) the weighted straw and design allow him to drink standing, sitting, laying upside down or sideways... and since he's on the move constantly -it's weirdly important for the cup to "keep up" with him like that. We had a few where he'd had a bit of a fit when he couldn't get the milk out because the straw ended too high up or something.

we've not had any mold issues, any broken pieces issues, anything like that. this cup has been magic over here.
I Love and Hate These Cups

I have a love-hate relationship with these cups. My 14-month-old twins love them, and we were able to give up the bottle without any complaining as we switched to these cups. The weighted ball works great, and the cups mostly don't leak. When the twins throw them on the floor, and the straw cover pops off, it snaps back on easily. That's the good part.

The bad part is that they are hard to clean, the straw is nearly impossible to switch out, they are expensive, and the weighted ball tends to pop off and disappear to parts unknown. In addition, there's a seal around the edge of the cap, and if that disappears at some point (and it will) the cup will then leak a lot, and you can't just buy a replacement seal, you either have to buy a whole new twelve dollar cup, or you deal with the leaks.

You can buy replacement straws, but they seem to not be the same as the straws that come with the cups -- we were unable to put them in without them snapping apart, but the original straw went back in without any trouble. The replacement straws also come with a brush, which is difficult to use and doesn't really get all the gunk out of the straw.

You can't buy the brush separately, nor does the cup come with a brush. The best way I've found to clean the straws is to use a plastic syringe, stick the syringe in the top of the straw, and push the water through. It comes clean pretty quickly with the water being forced through. The straw does not come clean in the dishwasher.

Replaced straw in cup as per instructions and the top of the straw above the top ridge came off easily like it was barely attached the second straw went on fine. Why would I spend the money to buy 2 straws when only one works. Unable to contact seller at this time will contact through amazon☹ï¸Very dangerous if came off in toddlers mouth☹ï¸
Liked them at first, but we're now on the hunt for something better

Pros
- Easy for the kids to grip
- Holds a decent amount and you can easily see when its empty
- Convenient flip lid to keep the straw covered and clean-ish
- The weight on the straw was included to make sure that the straw stays in contact with the liquid no matter how the cup is turned.

Cons
- The straws break. A lot. You have to really pull on the straw to get them to snap into the lid. Between this pulling and the kids pulling with their teeth, the straws break. A pack of replacement straws cost nearly as much as the cup the cup.
- The little weight at the bottom of the straw falls off and it is not easy to put back on. Great idea, but poor execution.
- The 'O' ring that seals up the lid can come loose while the lid is on. If the kids suck hard enough the ring will slip down into the cup which then causes the lid to leak. My wife has ended up with puddles in her purse, more than once.
- The convenient flip lid pops off whenever the cup falls on the ground.
- Too many loose parts. When getting this thing out of the dishwasher I've 6 parts to put together: a cup, a straw, a bob weight an "o" ring, a top and a flip-lid that all have to be put back together one-handed while I've got a screaming baby in the other.
