I searched for days looking for a comforter for my granddaughter's fox-themed "Harry Potter closet" room and couldn't find anything I liked. Then I happened upon this faux-fur throw and decided to try this blanket as a comforter for her bed. It looks so sweet! It's very soft, and the orange color fits right in with the fox theme, almost like the fur of an orange fox. The 40x50 size works okay as a comforter for a toddler bed. It's a little short for that purpose, and I wish it were about 5" longer, but it's acceptable. The throw is a little on the thin side to be considered a comforter, but I added a couple of blankets beneath it for warmth.

This is a decent blanket/throw as long as you want one that is very lightweight. The feel is soft (slightly artificial) and I like that it is faux fur opposite fleece instead of just fleece on both sides. If I had it to do over I would buy one that is slightly heavier so I could use it year round.
