So normally I don't leave reviews but the company sent me an e-mailed with an amusing note saying if I wrote a review, little Jamy would grow a little and there grumpy employee Donald would not be so grumpy. Made me chuckle so here is my review. This pump does what it is supposed to do. However it feels a little cheap. Everything came just fine nothing broken, the red hoses had some kinks but didn't stop it from doing it's job. This works best when pumping from an elevated place to a container at a lower level, but you can pump any way you want with a lot hard work as long as the hose is submerged.

I'm sure most people are purchasing this product for a specific reason in their mind. For me it was to drain the outdoor water well at our family cabin for the winter.
After years of watching my father suction the water out with his mouth and a piece of tubing I figured there had to be a better way. After several years of looking at this hand pump each fall, I finally purchased it this year on a whim.
After a few minutes of fidgeting around with getting the hose down into the well casing, lo and behold, it actually worked to my surprise.
My only complaint is the length of the tube is much shorter than I needed. I was actually able to pull the end around a piece of pex tubing, but imagine doing that a few more times will rip the hose.

This little pump was great. Came with everything I needed to get the job done. I had to remove 14 gallons of diesel fuel from my BobCat Skidsteer 7753, with enough suction to pick up contaminants from the bottom of the tank. It had to lift and transfer the fuel and suspected contaminants approximately 1-1/2 feet to be put into a clear container for examination. It took about 30 minutes to pump the tank empty, which calculates to about a 1/2 gallon a minute. Good exercise for the arms and upper body too. Not hard to operate, but it is not automatic, but the price is right. Do not buy a pump that does not say FOR FUEL TRANSFER. I smoked a battery powered lube oil pump trying to pump this fuel.
