It does what it says, and if you mix it according to specs, you'll do just fine with it although like others have said, it does NOT self-level...it needs help and it tends to pool up around masked-off spots so those areas need a lot of sanding when the product has dried.

For the record, when you are using XTC-3d, make in small batches. I tried making a large batch because i was trying to coat a life size prop rifle from overwatch. needless to say have the resin started to cure and heated up. i melted the cup it was hilarious and frightening.
I am going to try and use this more often, but i did notice it didn't really adhere to my pla parts. i was able to peel the xtc coating away from the part. Again this could by me and my lack of experience with this product.
Several of my friends swear by this, and what i saw on my test run it does do a good job smoothing.
Apply lightly. too much will erase details.

This stuff is amazing! It's a little on the pricy side, but worth every penny. The finish it gives your prints is awesome.

LOVE THIS! For 3D printed pieces that don't have a lot of intricate detail work, this is great for getting around hours of sanding! Make sure to use in a very well ventilated space and buy a bunch of foam paintbrushes, you can only use one once as it's a rock after it dries a washing this stuff out of them is tough. It will sand easily as well or leave it for a great gloss to your piece.
