This review is from the female on this account. Don't bother with AVO or pyridium when you can buy this, so much better. Also, get some D mannose in powder form and take 2000 mg a day every day if you are prone to UTI's. I did my research and I have found as so many hundreds of other women have, it works. I have had them for 50 years and if I get one I take this product to get me over the hump and then take double the amount of D mannose for 7 days and it goes away. At least for me this works. No antibiotics needed as they totally screw up your system as I have been taking them for a very long time until I found out about this miracle D mannose supplement.

Works good to relieve urinary distress, going too often and burning. They are great to have on hand if you have occasional problems, If I have too many diet drinks of dont drink enough water these pills help me almost immediately. I tried other brand but Cystex works best for me.

Nips a UTI in the bud if you take it right at the beginning

I have UTI's all the time (like, every other week). I haven't had to go to the doc for an antibiotic prescription ever since I started using this stuff. I find if I take this as prescribed right when I feel one coming on, it seems to nip it in the bud. I just take it every few hours and drink a lot of water, and the pain is mostly eliminated. It's usually gone completely after a 24-36 hours. Obviously, don't take this as medical advice, because an advanced UTI is dangerous. But if you know your body pretty well and you can sense a UTI right at the beginning, try taking this stuff. I haven't taken antibiotics in probably 5 years.
Try This If You Cannot Take Azo -- Completely Different Drug

If you experience nausea with Azo, this may do the trick for you. It's a completely different drug, and it's one that is used in a leading prescription remedy. If you get good results, but have a recurring UTI, you might want to try a low, regular dose of Methenamine powder -- the main ingredient in these pills. Cystex also makes a liquid that you can drink daily to stave off recurrences, but I haven't tried it. It may take some trial and error to find the right combination for you, but stick with it and you'll get there.
