Good build quality and sound for the price

Good build quality and sound for the price. Some notes are very out of tune, and can't be fixed because the slides and the valves are all stuck in the instrument. Valves are a little stiff but they still work.

As a band director of a music program that is growing at a tremendous rate, I needed some flugelhorns that are cheap, and hoped these would fit the bill. Wrong! The first valve is a quarter step flat and now most of the valves don't work (on all five I purchased). This is the biggest waste of money I've made, and with money our kids fundraiser! I feel awful! Don't buy these instruments!
If you want a flugel and you don't want to go broke!

Construction is good and the finish is nice. The mouthpiece does not seat securely in the receiver and I need to push the mouthpiece in slightly to seat it. The valve action is a little stiff but workable. Sound is good but I had to use a different mouthpiece. A lightweight instrument and a good carrying case. For the price and the frequency I use it, it meets the need.
