We just purchased a new reclining sofa with large fluffy arms. I love having my coffee right by my side and would go as far as placing on the edge of the sofa arm. This would drive the wife crazy so I searched for a item that would cure this dilemma. I purchased the CouchCoaster for a recliner that did not have a cup holder. I love it. The side weights and slightly sticky rubber keep it stable and almost static even with recliner movement and a drink in place. There is a removable solid plastic piece that conveniently holds more narrow containers like 12 ounce cans. When taken out, the same space will accommodate the wider base of wine glasses, beer chalices, and a number of liquor tumblers. Now I need to buy a couple more!

This product is awesome. I was afraid that it wouldn't be heavy enough not to slide around with a large drink in it but no worries...it handles any drink. This is perfect since I don't have a coffee table to use for my drinks. My drinks sweat inside the holder but it does not leak onto my couch and I just wipe it out with paper towels. Love the feature of the insert for smaller based glasses and cups.

I was looking for something for the arm of a rocker recliner. I wasn't sure this would work very well on a rocking chair. The arm of our chair is the same size as our sofa. Turns out it works great!! I am very impressed with how it holds when the chair is moving, even in the reclining position which makes it tilted back at a slight angle. Our arms are more rounded on the edges & it still holds well. The insert allows you to hold a smaller cup more securely. When removed it allows a larger cup or a coffee cup with handle sticking out the slot. Great invention, I wish I had thought of it!
