The angle of the arm collided with both the filler riser and the fill tube. Boil a tall glass of water in the microwave. Soak the handle end for two minutes while you get two pairs of pliers. Gently bend the plastic arm at the elbow with the pliers to tweak the arm another inch of bend. Hold while it the flush arm cools for a minute. Viola. Lastability unknown.

Does what it is made for. Easy change out for metal levers that tend to rust. Then lever has a metal classy look. Just make sure that what you are buying is actually what you need. From the lever the arm goes out across the inside of the water tank on about a 45 degree angle, so make sure that there are no parts in the tank that will be in the way. The price was right for this replacement lever. I would buy again. Pretty durable so far.
