Why the "just use soap" argument doesn't work for makeup on your face or brushes.

You know how you spend time and effort to find makeup that lasts. No matter how much you makeup you may wear, using long lasting makeup comes at a cost. You can't just rub some regular soap on your face to get that "all day mascara/eyeliner/foundation" off can you? It's the same with your brushes. This is coming from someone who really doesn't care to clean brushes. I only started using them about 7 years ago. It was 3 or so years after that I started trying to clean them. Rarely. And I thought vigorous scrubbing with hand soap was all you needed. It wasn't so I thought dish soap was all you needed. It still wasn't. I thought natural discoloration was inevitable for the lazy. Long story short, it turns out I was wrong and life is easy. Elbow grease for years was fine... until I got this stuff on a whim. The same brushes that were slowly permanently discoloring and fraying up had looked near new after my "initial" clean. I almost wish I took pictures but I I can only regret so much about a ~$5 brush cleaner.
Game Changer

Awesome product! Easily the best brush shampoo I have tried. I use it with a silicone brush cleaning hand tool, put a dab in, swirl my brush around for like 5 seconds with a little bit of water, and they are spotless. I was in awe when I saw how much pigment/makeup was stored in my brushes, and I did wash them weekly with a different product.
Great value

For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This brush shampoo reminds me a lot of the Beauty Blender Liquid Cleanser only much cheaper. The product cap is a bit annoying since the product is relatively thin and it gets a bit drippy. It has a light orange scent, it's not as strong or long-lasting as the smell of Parian Spirit (which is a good thing IMO). It did a good job of removing even long wear makeup from my brushes without them feeling stripped. Nearly all of my brushes are synthetic so that isn't a huge issue anyway. The only product that takes a bit effort to clean off is the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer which is basically the makeup equivalent of armor plating so the fact it even removes at all without soaking is pretty good.

Pros:
+ good value
+ doesn't leave residue or strong scent
+ removes heavy, oil based makeup easily

Cons:
- the cap is a bit messy
- a bit runny
great shampoo, not so much the bottle it came in

This is awesome, I usually buy white tip brushes so I can see if it's dirty, and this cleans my brushes back to white again! Don't need a lot, just need to work the shampoo into the bristols and rinse. One thing I didn't like is the container, I feel like the lid makes it really messy, the shampoo doesn't dispense cleanly, it gets all over the top. I put the shampoo into a pump bottle and now that's perfect.
Way Better Than I Thought!

I was kind of hesitant and thought maybe the reviews were too good to be true ... but they aren't! I bought one of those makeup brush spinning cleaners and wasn't sure what to use with it. I had tried some Mary Kay makeup remover thinking that would work but it didn't. So I got this and did some hand washing as per the instructions and goops and goops of old makeup just flowed off (yes, that's gross and I will never let my brushes get THAT bad). Then I put it through the spinning machine and my brushes are back to the original "white" brissels that they are supposed to be! Highly recommend :)
