So I ordered the Medium one based off of the photo and once I received my grappling hook I had concerns. I have huge hands and comparing my pic to the advertising image one must ask....HOW BIG ARE THOSE HANDS!?!?!? Sidenote works great to remove loose limbs. Very sturdy despite the lightweight. Highly recommended....but that hand 😳
Good product.

Good product. I have pulled things like mountain bikes, a weed whacker and a shopping cart out of bodies of water with it while magnet fishing. I guess we will see how long it lasts"¦
Unreasonably sharp!
Dave Jensen✓ Verified Purchase•October 3, 2023
Good solid welds, with nice polish. Ring is in line with hook body.
The tip of the spikes come very very sharp. My example cane with plastic tubehose covering the tips.
In my opinion, this makes any sort of simple use unacceptably dangerous. Even the very smallest, lightest, one is so sharp that just falling onto someone at gravity speed, a throw without any force, could easily penetrate the human body all the way end. In the worst case you could catch both points. Even a ricochet or bounced toss could be dangerous. Falling on this cold be lethal.
Take a grinder to the tips and flatten them. If you don't have a grinder use a file. If you don't have a file, rub it on concrete

Item shipped in a mailing pouch. Two of the three prongs were sticking out through large holes. The pouch was ripped and in horrible shape. It had obviously been handle pretty rough through transit. That being said it only shows the strength of the metal used for this grappling hook. Welds are strong and item has not been bent or damaged in any way. Although the prongs were out of the bag tubing protecting the tips (although I'd say they're more for protection of other items coming in contact with tips, the tips are sharp) were still in place. I purchased the smallest one honestly just to have. I will be buying the largest soon. One design flaw, in my opinion, is the eyelet. I believe it should be made out of the same gauge metal as the hooks themselves. The eyelet is much thinner and flattened out, instead of being rounded, which could lead to rope being wore through. I'd rather be able to attach my rope directly to the eyelet but will use a ring instead. I still gave it five stars because of the overall build.
