My 5 years old son chose this costume for Halloween, he liked it so much so he has been wearing it for another events and just for fun. The size fitted perfect considering that he wore the costume over the jeans and t-shirts. The only issue with Velcro on the tail and mask which leaves snags on the fabric. The fabric is thin polyester and with close view looks cheap, on other hand I did not expect something outstanding ordering the product. In general, it is good enough for Halloween costume.

We ordered a large, which came pretty much larger than what we needed (and what we wanted so that it would fit over my 6 year old's clothing). It was good quality, surprisingly enough, and the tail detaches for easy washing. I have pretty much avoided Disguise brand things after the Link wig fiasco for my eldest child (I've left a review there too explaining how terrible that experience was), but this was definitely a refreshing change. I can definitely recommend this.

Pros: child loves it. He's a huge PJ Masks fan, and he is thrilled to be able to dress like his favorite character.
Cons: After only wearing it for a few hours, the seams started to unravel, and strings were hanging from the sleeves. This was a Christmas gift, and today (2 days after receiving it) I've just had to stitch up 3 different holes in the costume, all along the seams. The tail is secured with velcro, which is nice in theory, but the square of velcro is TINY, and the tail constantly falls off. Additionally, the scratchy velcro piece is on the tail, while the softer piece is on the body of the costume. So every time my child tries to secure the tail himself and he doesn't match it to the tiny square (that he can't see because it is behind him), the scratchy part catches the costume, and causes pilling. It's been 2 days and it looks like we've had it for 2 years already.
A note about sizing: I got the 3T-4T size for my 3 year old, who is squarely in 3T clothing (4T clothes are way too big still). The costume is quite snug, and definitely won't fit when he hits the 4T size. If you are buying for someone who truly wears size 4T, I'd consider going up a size to make sure it fits.

Great concept, but not the quality I'd like in a kids costume.

My son is 4.5 and 50th percentile height and weight (average) for his age. Though the package said 4+, I had to take in both mask, legs, and waist for it to fit better. It took about an hour - the material is very easy to work with. But the end result is gorgeous and my son loved it. The good thing is that if I take out my stitching, he will be able to put it on for at least two more years if he ever decides to wear it again.

This costume is adorable. It looks great and my son seemed comfortable in it. The issue is the design. The tail is not attached to the costume, it sticks on by Velcro. Not a bad idea, except that the first time my son tried it on the Velcro started coming of the costume. I was going to exchange it but since exchanging wasn't an option I would have had to return and rebuy, therefore paying shipping again. I ended up sewing the Velcro back on but I probably should have sewed the tail on because it came off several times. This is not a good value for the price.
