This is the worst hose I've ever had
Linda from OKC✓ Verified Purchase•August 9, 2017
I bought this hose be cause it claimed to be kink free. This is the worst hose I've ever had. Every time I try to use it I'm in for the battle of my life. It's like a big yellow snake coiled up and ready to strike. I can't get it uncoiled no matter what I try. Very, very disappointed. Waste of money!
Even my wife likes this hose

It's only been 6 weeks since I got this 50' hose and I paid less than $30, but so far my wife and I like it. For years I've been buying costco 100' hoses because they were cheap and convenient. The hoses sold at costco are crap, They kink and don't last but a year or two. While my wife wasn't initially fond of the yellow fatmax color, she really likes the hose. We had new landscaping (sod & shrubs) put in this summer which requires daily watering and she finds the fatmax much easier to work with than the costco hose. The fatmax is easier to handle with fewer kinks (the kinks often work themselves out), and it is easier to roll up when done. No more costco hoses for me. I'll gradually replace them with fatmax when I find them on amazon at a good price.
as good hoses are hard to find

I was excited to try this product, as good hoses are hard to find. It was expensive when I purchased it about 1 year ago (about $50 for 50'), but I'm willing to pay for quality and based on the ratings and description it seemed to fit the bill.
I initially quite liked it - largely because it is much lighter than others I've tried. It didn't last though, and after only a short time the coupling showed a significant amount of corrosion - basically fusing to whatever it's attached. I've owned many hoses and have ever seen anything like it.
After using it this week, the coupling broke clean off of the hose while I was using a nozzle. The material underlying it appears to be plastic, so it's no wonder. Spend your money elsewhere.

I thought such a long hose would be unmanageable, but it is easily moved around by this little ol lady
Well Built, Easy to Attach, But It's Not Kink Proof

It may have "anti-kink technology", but that doesn't mean it won't kink. I can understand a hose kinking after years of use, but this one started kinking the first month. Other than the occasional kinking, which is easy to "un-do", the hose appears to be very well constructed. The fittings are easy to use and appear to be heavy duty. Some reviewers have commented that their fittings were loose and came apart during their first use; that doesn't appear to be a design issue, as mine work fine, but a QC issue for Stanley during assembly. Despite the occasional kinking as I drag it around my car, I really like the hose; it's soft, the connections are heavy duty and it appears to be built to last for years. Four stars, if it didn't kink, it would be an easy five.
