The bags I received were not sealed at the bottom. Some how these bags made it past quality control and into my trash cans at both my home and business. All the bags in both rolls are not glued or heat sealed at the bottom. When I pulled them out all the trash and cat litter fell on my floor. YUK!! Not a happy camper

IN MY EXPERIENCE, HEFTY BAGS OFFER -- AMONG OTHER THINGS -- SOME PROTECTION FOR ITEMS FROM WATER AND OTHER DAMAGE; I USE THESE BAGS FOR MULTIPLE PURPOSES, INCLUDING AS PROTECTIVE WRAP WHEN SHIPPING ITEMS.. HOWEVER, THE PRODUCT DISPENSER BOX APPARENTLY CAN BE CRUSHED, THE PRODUCT BOX FLAPS CAN APPARENTLY READILY BE OPENED, AND THE PRODUCT CAN BE SPLAYED (APPARENTLY, PARTICULARLY, IF CRUSHED BY OTHER PRODUCTS). BOTTOM LINE: I BAGGED FRUSTRATION WITH THIS ORDER OF TRASH BAGS.
Besides that the bags without the broken/open seems works and holds up just fine.

Out of all the garbage bags that I have bought, these are the best. They are strong and don't tear easily and they shield any odors from the garbage.
