Could Use Improvements but It's the Best Product for Turtles

My enormous turtle loves it when she can get up. She struggles to climb into it but really enjoys dry basking. It seems a little slippery. We haven't tried carpet like some reviews have, but I'm not sure I want to deal with cleaning that. When she gets off, she crashes hard and even with a large tank she doesn't have much room to crash, so I just hope it isn't painful for her. The water stays cleaner, longer and it's much easier to clean than with our old floating dock that she was so heavy for, she would constantly be wet. This is MUCH better for turtles! She also enjoys hanging out on the underwater floating dock and spends a lot of her day on it. She is the max size for the ramp, which is not as wide as a standard tank. I would guess it's about 6.5-7.5 inches wide. She takes up almost the entire space inside the dock but that doesn't bother her.
my turtle (Red-Eared Slider) started climbing up and launching himself down like 20 times

Took my turtle about three days to get used to this platform. His previous floating platform proved to be too small and his weight was just too much for it, so i got this one! He enjoys basking. Within a few minutes of figuring out the ramp, my turtle (Red-Eared Slider) started climbing up and launching himself down like 20 times. I realized he was using the ramp for fun!
Also climbs up on the clear plastic part to look at me. So funny.
He still has yet to figure out the underwater platform, but i'm sure he will be using it soon. Turtle loves it and so do I. Best purchase!

We had this on our 20 gallon long aquarium for our African sideneck Turtle I thought what a waste of money he never used it when we upgraded tanks to a 40-gallon breeder turtle tank I had to get creative because this was too small I used PVC pipes to build a stand and now he uses it all the time it's a little closer to the water so it's easier for him to get in and out but every time the house is quiet sure enough he's sitting up there basking
great for small turtles

I ordered this for my two baby res's. If fits my 29 ga tank perfectly which means it would also fit a 55 ga perfect. My turtles were afraid of it at first and wouldnt go near it but within a couple days they were trying to climb the ramp. Because there small and the ramp is slippery plastic they just kept falling back into the water and were unable to climb the ramp. To fix this i used one of my bearded dragons old plastic hammocks and tied it around the ramp so that they could have some traction, after they went right up it with little issue. They now have there food up there and seem to like being able to bask more now that they can be completely dry. The area on the top that you can put a light clamp on is very handy for lights but makes it difficult to open the door on the top. its ok for me because i have small enough arms that i can reach through the bottom and grab there dish and things. If you have bigger arms like my husband you will have a much harder time doing it that way. The suction cups on the side are basically worthless so i used packing tape to secure it to the glass so that it wont move around when there up in it. Overall its worth the money and my babies are happy with it now, They spend a lot of time up there under the lights and they also have more swimming room since i could put more water in the tank with this attached.
Classy and functional.

I'm very glad I came across this item. I had purchased an aquarium with an under-gravel filtration system, but I didn't think I could use it with a turtle. The reason was that I needed an above-water basking platform, and if I filled the water too high, the turtle would be able to jump out of the tank. As a solution, I had considered cutting up a plastic tote and putting it on the tank. And while it might have done the trick, it wouldn't have been as safe, and certainly wouldn't be nearly as good looking. I'm glad I saw this for sale. It fits my tank perfectly, it is designed specifically for you to use heat & light lamps with it through the top, and it has a wire gate that opens and closes. For now I'm just putting my lamps right on top of the enclosure, though it is designed for you to use clamp lamps with it. There are special grooves for it to hold those kind of fixtures.
