These do exactly what they advertise and I am satisfied that I got what I paid for. The only reason I did not give a five star rating is that the remote control uses IR to control the lights and that means you need a clear line of sight between the controller and the sensor on the light (When I did have a clear line of sight, I was able to control it from 35 feet away). Since the sensor is on the top, if you lay the light on its side, you won't be able to control it. I did not test it, but I suspect this would limit being able to change it underwater as well. For many people, I suspect this is not an issue, as these are decorative lights that you will probably set ahead of time with the controller and then put them where you want them during the event, but I wanted to use them as "signal" lights to use the colors to tell children when to come on stage for a play, and since I didn't have a direct line of sight to the device in the next room where the children were coming from, I couldn't trigger it and they were no good for that purpose. But for decorative lights for a party, they're pretty cool.

I'm a little disappointed with this product. It works as described but two of the four I received were either broken or looked like they were repackaged from a previous use. One was discoloured and looked as though it had water stains inside the plastic. I'm giving three stars for working units but it loses two stars for recycling a product that was supposed to be new out of the box.

I love these lights. Have purchased from other sellers and thrown them away. Was ready to give up until I found these. The remotes work without having to be right on top of them. Have not used underwater yet.so can't comment on leaking. All the previous one I bought leaked. These work. Use rechargeable batteries to keep cost down.Will only buy from this seller from now on. They know what they are doing.

Great product and great price. Small, inexpensive and did what I wanted it to. I know they were for smaller items but 4 of them were more than enough to light up a 20ft pool. I added magnets to the back of them to get them to stay in place on our pool. Yes, you do lose range with the remote when they are under water, but that's a given since it is IR and not RF. I put the remote in a ziplock bag to take in the pool with us. It makes night time swimming more enjoyable. I'm sure I can find many other uses for these as well. Since I have shown my friends, I know some of them have ordered for themselves!

I really wanted to love these. The first set I received, one of the lights had a crack in the housing, letting it fill with water within 2 hours of being in the pool. Additionally one of the remotes that came with it didn't work. Second set was much better.

Overall you get what you pay for. The colors for each light are a little off (white for one may be a little greener than another which is more blue). But they work well and fill the need for fun pool lights in our above ground pool. I've also used them around the house for accent lighting during parties. Battery life is only okay at 5-6 hours. Once the battery starts running low they'll quickly dim until they turn off.
