We moved about 6 months ago, and the previous owners had electronics in the family room built-in shelves where these baskets needed to go. Our system is wireless so we don't have anything to put in these gaps. For the holidays I filled the spaces with ornaments, a ruffled up tablecloth, etc. to fill the space but now holidays are over and we needed a permanent solution.

There is a somewhat grassy smell when you unpack them, but it's not bad at all and they just need to be aired out a little bit. Note: they aren't all 100% the same which concerned me at first, but I like the fact that there's just enough difference between them so they're not cookie-cutter. Highly recommend!

I ordered late and was thrilled a day later when the Seagrass Storage Baskets arrived. The baskets fit perfectly inside each other if storage is a problem. But I expect once my son opens this gift, he will have all four baskets filled and lined up perfectly in his cozy "office". One glance at each basket and I know exactly which of his precious possessions will be delivered to the perfect, protective space. The seegrass seems to be light weight but very sturdy and well constructed. There are special hand spaces for transfering a basket to another room and easily back again.

The baskets are much smaller than they appear - because of the tilted basket walls, the actual storage capacity isn't very much - I could fit maybe 4 rolled hand towels in a basket and only 1 rolled regular towel. Might be good for holding a few toiletries, but again, not very spacious.

I ordered two sets of these baskets and was so pleased with them when they arrived that I just ordered two more sets. They're nice to look at, and very sturdily constructed. The hinged lids are easier to deal with than a slip-on cover would be, plus they can't get lost.
The second largest one is exactly the right size for storing 8.5" x 11" paper.
A terrific value for the price!
Edited to add: I was surprised at the number of reviews saying people were disappointed in how small the baskets were. The exact sizes are listed in the product description!
Edited again to add: A couple people have complained about the "haystack" smell, but that dissipates very quickly.

Now I've never had a Seagrass product before, so call me crazy. But these baskets smell like a barn house and a really strong case of it. Some may find it pleasant, I live on a ranch myself but I was planning on using these adorable baskets for towels and clothing storage. I didn't think it not being lined with cloth would be a problem, but I suppose that and the scent are the reason I'll be returning this product. I don't think it's sturdy enough to handle any outdoor storage either, so the scent would just sit in the house, which I'm not a fan of.
Otherwise, they're beautiful. Truly crafted and look just like the pictures. The smell is just too pungent of barn and hay for my closet space.
