Nice wood! No knots, straight grain, accurate to measurement. Really impressed by these dowels. Nicely smooth to start with, although they benefit from sanding. Can't believe how much less expensive and better quality than the dowels in the hardware store. Bought to make a bath tub shelf, which came out quite nicely. Now I'm thinking of other projects.
