Fell apart in less then 6 weeks!

Initially we all loved the idea, the product and the look of it. Kids enjoyed using it as a reading spot and we were not really bothered by the fact that windows are exposed to the rain. Now, just one week after the return window that thing stated falling apart!!!!! 500 pounds weight? We had maximum of 125 at any given time when kids were there together. I should have listened to the review posted exactly a year ago and save $250 for something that won't fall apart in less then 6 weeks.
No ladder

Under description section of this product it states, "Package includes the Pod with roll-up ladder and sewn guy-lines, frame poles, and ground stakes." Mine did not come with a ladder. Otherwise, it is really a great product. But not having the ladder, at the price you have to pay is very frustrating!!

Indoor Reading Niche in Kids Room

We hung this in my kid's bedrooms for a reading niche and to reduce anxiety. We installed a cable loop in the ceiling and built 2x4 supports across several ceiling joists by climbing into the attic. It took about a day to get it all set up. It's in a corner about 8 inches from each wall. We anchored it by installing loops screwed into the wall studs. One in the corner and one on either side about an inch above the molding along the floor. The two guidelines on either side of the door are crisscrossed to keep it from swinging. It does bump the wall a little when they climb in so we installed some foam wall bumpers. The bumpers protect the wall and dampen the bump sound completely. The kids have loaded it with blankets and pillows and hung lights inside. When it's quiet in the house we can find them inside relaxing with their reading and drawing. We don't have a big enough tree so we plan to build 4x4 stands and move them outside this summer rather than buy the optional stand that TreePod sells.

Kids love the treepod! It would have been more stars, but there was no ladder (shows a ladder in picture and description). I don't like that there's no way to cover the windows to keep rain out. Otherwise it's the kids favorite Christmas present.
