This stuff is great! It's easy to layer and manipulate. And it can be blended well. When mixed with water it creates a more stable consistency. It doesn't rub off or stay greasy and it has a matte finished look. Great fun. I need to build a kit for my stage makeup class and this was the perfect edition. The only complaint I have is that I received 2 brushes instead of 3 , which was a bummer for me. But I definitely recommend this product.

My granddaughter began painting everyone's faces as soon as she opened the Blue Squid Face Paints which she got for her birthday. The paints are easy to use and the colors are vibrant. She wished the set included a brown paint - for bears, monkeys, etc. At the end of the day, the faces washed off with soap and water. One issue - the matte paints felt great on the skin and didn't rub off, but the glitter smeared if it was touched.

Just had our carnival night for vbs tonight. Bought Blue Squid and another brand because I had no idea how much we'd need. The gal who used the Blue Squid said they were the best she has ever used and she has done this several times. It didn't look like hardly any had been used and I'm sure she probably did at least 30 kids. Just looking at the 2 brands side by side after use it was a no brainer that Blue Squid is the better brand.

Really good quality paint. Bright colors, the silver glitter looks like a great bonus, and the case is great! Its also nice that the colors are all removable so you can change one out if its running low. My only critique with that is I wish the colors locked into the case a little better so i could hold the palate when Im painting without worrying they will fall out.

We never face painted before, so I don't know what the consistency of face paints should be, but I thought these face paints were very easy to work with as long as you don't add too much water and have good paint brushes that aren't too soft and floppy. Even my 5 year old could do it. We used these for a school carnival party.
