Complete Trash DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I cannot, in good conscience, rate this anything above a one star. Sure, the esthetic design is on point, it rocks, it reclines just enough to be comfortable. It is not overly stuffed nor difficult to get in or out of. It is small and compact enough that you do not feel overwhelmed or sucked into a giant chair that was supposedly made for one. On the surface this chair should be a five. However, the bones of the chair make your investment just as worthy of throwing your money in the toilet. The legs on the recliner only go down if you haven't skipped leg day in a really long time so please do not buy this for Grandma that needs to rest, or for the new mom trying to carry a new baby from recline mode into their crib without waking them-or dropping them. That is just a pain though and really not a reason to dock the chair more than one star. The problem that makes this chair complete rubbish is that it will fall apart within a year if not sooner. Do not own this chair if you have anyone other than an infant living with you, or if you plan to actually use it for more than a few months, tops. The entire back will eventually not stay up and then slowly the wood will crack from the stress that is put on the frame from the base not being supported by it's foundation. Soon the chair will be a wonky wobbly mess that is leaning to one side with that sides' back "brace" and "frame" completely cracked and unable to be fixed. Even if you could replace the back of the chair the structure that is suppose to hold the back of the chair to the base cannot handle the work load the way that it is created and so if anyone leans over the back of the chair, or anyone sits on the chair without the utmost care you will surely speed up the process of this chair falling apart. So unless you want a chair for just a few months, please look elsewhere. Aside from the chair itself don't expect customer service to do anything by laugh at the fact that you were stupid enough to buy this chair. When contacted to tell them the design flaw it took weeks of emails before they actually responded, and when they did respond they simply said "sorry your warranty is expired" and that was that. A company that does not care that their chair is totally worthless, or that a family has shelled out hundreds for a chair that did not actually make it through the warranty, or even that their chair could have been a fluke that doesn't represent the rest of the chairs like it. If it really was a fluke you would think that they would want to fix it but they clearly were not surprised by my email or the pictures or they would have offered to do SOMETHING. So now, we are out the ridiculous price we paid for a chair worth a tiny percentage of the ticket price as it doesn't hold up as well as a cheap rental folding chair! Shame on Dorel Home Furnishings and anyone who has the desire to swindle their customers with such trash! *I will post pics later if anyone is interested
Fantastic chair, poor quality control and packaging

It's an amazing chair for the price. Comfortable, stylish, smooth rocking and swiveling, with a great footrest and recline function. However, for this price something has to give, and that appears to be quality control and packaging. The first chair we received had a warped metal base ring, and one of the rubber feet on the bottom of the ring was torn in half, such that I had to sand down its sharp edge so it wouldn't scratch the floor. I don't know if the base ring was damaged before it left the factory, or damaged in shipping (the packaging is quite minimal for a product of this size and weight, with little protection inside the thin, flimsy cardboard box other than a few very thin styrofoam panels), but either way, it was problematic because the warped ring would tap on the floor with each rock, making an annoying sound. The company was easy to contact, and after I sent them some pictures of the warped ring and torn rubber foot, they sent me an entire replacement base for the chair at no cost to me, so kudos to them on excellent customer service! However, the replacement base, while thankfully not warped, did have some damaged fabric and was actually entirely missing one of the rubber feet! However, we decided to just live with the damaged fabric (it isn't that noticeable), and we were able to pull one of the rubber feet off the first chair base and pop it in the second one. We weren't about to ask them to send us yet another base--that just felt too wasteful since we already have to discard the entire base from the first chair. So just know what you're getting into if you order this chair--it's a wonderful item at a fantastic price but you're rolling the dice a bit on the quality control on your particular unit.
Comfortable chair with wild price swings

This chair is actually pretty comfortable while being able to swivel, glide and recline. It was easy to put together where you just slide the base into the bottom of the chair until it clicks and you're done. So yes, buy this chair, however, be aware of the price fluctuation. I bought this for $199, as I write this it's $457.20. When I had originally added it to my wish list it was $385. It then went down to $299, and then to $250, then $260, then $215, then $199 which is when I bought it, then $300, and then $485... this was all within a two day period. I took note of the price changes simply because I had never seen anything like it. Maybe I bought it while Amazon was adjusting their algorithms and lucked out, but I figured I'd at least give the heads up and how low it can go.
Thrilled with this chair

This is my first Amazon review, and I'm writing it because I love this chair that much! I'll say upfront the only 2 things I dislike: to put the footrest back you really have to push which is challenging post-delivery, and when my cats sleep on the chair it seems to attract their hair (but I just wipe with wet paper towel).

And that's it! Those are the only things I have even a slight problem with. I'll end with everything I love about it.
*I'm 5'3" and husband is 5'11" and we both find chair comfy.
*Love the reclining positions, great for sitting/rocking, breastfeeding, or napping.
*The swivel function is incredibly smooth.
*My adorable feral clawed cats have a history of shredding furniture, but they don't scratch at this smooth fabric.
*It feels substantial and sturdy but when it's upright it really doesn't take up a ton of space. (When measuring, allow for extra space if you plan on reclining.)
*It shipped quickly (and free with Prime!) and was very simple to assemble.
*THE PRICE. I can't imagine another chair that meets our needs this well, and other chairs we were considering were $700, $900, $1000+.
*As a bonus, it qualifies for Amazon's Baby Registry Completion Discount.

I was super nervous buying furniture I'd never seen but I'm so thrilled with this purchase.
Cannot recommend, unfortunately

It was great for a year then disaster struck. The metal base has developed a fracture which has resulted in a loud, annoying squeak which wakes the baby up, rendering the purpose useless. I reached out to the company about receiving a replacement part and followed up but can't get a hold of anyone. do not recommend.
