Great kit for a child. My daughter loves it. Buy a seperate sketch book, the one that comes with it is small and few pages.

I like that this is more of a drawing kit and less of a little kids' art kit so it can appeal to slightly older children. It includes only pencils and pencil related items and I appreciated that it doesn't have fillers like crayons, water colors and cheap markers. It would be nice if it wasn't pink so it could appeal to boys who like to draw, but my daughter was psyched about the pink case.

My 10 year old really enjoyed having different types of pencils to draw with as well as the blending nibs and a really nice eraser but I would have appreciated more instructions in the manual for kids who don't have a lot of experience with using pencils beyond doodling and coloring books. It's also not entirely clear what each component is for - for example they talk about moldable erasers but include a polymer eraser.

There are no instructions on actually using the mannequin, which is fine, but my daughter decided to decorate it instead of using it for its intended purposes. If you have an outside the box thinker just be prepared for that.

I would recommend this for children who have some experience with professional drawing.

What makes this art set special to me is the little miniature mannequin. You see plenty of sets with the pencils, but not too many contain the mannequin. My daughter liked it a lot and felt like it helped her draw. It came with many different pencils and things to sketch with. She liked the pink case. This does make it more geared toward girls, of course. The quality is what you would expect... not terrible, but obviously it's not an expensive set. For her it was perfect. It was a pretty good price. She enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend it.

This was a Christmas present. It was smaller than I had expected but it is great for my 7 year old who absolutely loves art and creativity! The only issue was the mannequin stand did not have an actual hole to place the mannequin in, it was more of an indention. This isn't a major issue because anyone whether they have carpentry skill or not will be able to make the hole in order the place the mannequin in it. I had a very eager and happy 7 year old!

This made a wonderful Christmas gift for a 14 year old girl. She's fairly new to art and this set is perfect for her (and she loves that it's pink!) Im so glad I purchased this set! Great item!
