Item arrived as expected. Replacement was a snap and is exact replacement for the one I broke! I have contacted the Simmons factory in AL to suggest some improvements over the existing design which would result in no more breaking!

As others have said, this thing is amazing! I broke the handle on my recliner, so after reading the reviews I ordered this one. It really has made opening the recliner so much easier after replacing. Someone mentioned replacing the opposite side recliner on their couch although it wasn't broken because of how much easier this new one is, and I'm seriously considering doing the same thing!

Ordered on Friday night, arrived Sunday afternoon. Easy fix. Our cord had broken. We took the old cord off and replaced it with this one in under 5 minutes. Some sofas might not be as accessible, but for us it was a piece of cake. And at the price, even if it only lasts a year or two I still won't be disappointed.

Worked great! We purchased this for our Ashley Leather Reclining Sofa. My husband had no problem installing it and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. It makes me wish we had done it a lot sooner, instead of waiting until we were going to sell the recliner.
