ZERO stars! I've owned similar clips for OVER 10 YEARS that I still use, the brown ones (see left pic). They work and are slightly bendable. The new black ones are so Brittle that they snap after one use (see right pic). I have one pin left after ONE MONTH. Terrible product. Don't waste your money.

I buy a pack of these once or twice a year. They're the only thing that holds my hair in an updo all day. These are must haves for anyone with thick hair or just a lot of hair to contain. Three of the pins can hold my hair up in a french twist all day. My only issue is that they tend to break so I buy new packs throughout the year.

These are exactly what I was looking for. I have copious amounts of fine hair that just slides itself out of ponytail holders and bobby pins. I was hoping to find something that could secure my hair without snagging, and these fit the bill. Sometimes it can take a try or two to get them really secure without poking my scalp or sliding out, but that's a user error issue and not a product issue. So far these seem quite sturdy. I haven't had any break, nor have I felt in danger of breaking them. I use 2 to 3 at a time to secure up-dos, and they work exactly the way I like. There are tiny details that keep them from being a 5 star product. The edges aren't perfectly smooth, though so far that hasn't caused any snagging or hair breakage. The ends could also use a soft tip cover to cut down on scalp irritation, though if I put the pins in correctly, that isn't an issue either. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will purchase again when I eventually lose the ones I have.

I absolutely love these hair pins! I'm extremely sensitive to nickel and found my scalp burning after a day of wearing normal bobby pins. So for the past few years, I've just had to accept that I could no longer do the updos I love in order to protect my skin. These plastic pins though have allowed me to start wearing my hair up again!
I was quite worried about them breaking after reading other reviews, but I have used them several times and not one of them has broken. I am careful when I take them out of my hair, but they do not seem extremely flimsy at all.
