Beautiful and well made. Even prettier in person. The tooling and brass hardware on the strap make these really cool. The strap is decorative only and will not adjust the fit. I am always a standard 9M and the 9M fits perfectly. I saw a well loved pair on some one else and they had aged attractively in a rustic way. The rubbed leather looked a little more 'distressed' but still good looking. There is a little arch support and some padding on the insole, but no aggressive sculpting or cushioning ala klogs or birks. They are comfy and cushy enough for all day wear, but maybe not for all day walking or a job with a ton of standing/walking. They look high quality and go with almost any casual outfit.

The only drawback was a pokey corner seam edge in the curve of my arch. It seemed to compress after wearing, but may be a concern if you have lower arches or tender feet. I have been wearing with socks and hardly notice it after a week of breaking in. They didn't really need breaking in besides this little pokey bit.

i have a wide toe box - cobblers with rounded toe is the most comfortable style for me. the strap on across the side and top stabilize my feet. best pair of shoes i have ever owned - will buy a 2nd pair. excellent fit right out of the box - this will be and is my favorite for comfort/fit - i would give them 10 stars if i could. just received my second pair. i now own 2 pair of B.O.C. clogs - karley's fit the best - great arch support and comfort - excellent -

I have been wearing Dansko clogs for over 40 years, but the soles of the last few pairs all cracked with very little wear on them.
My first pair of Danskos lasted 18 years, but that was back when they had wooden soles and were manufactured in Europe.
I thought I would try some different brands, but the others are going back.
I love these black B.O.C. Karley clogs, and I'm going to order another pair in brown.

UPDATE: After wearing for 3 days the heel part of the shoe is coming apart. :-( I am not happy at all. I wore with socks to work 10 hour days in an office job. I will not buy another pair.

Original review...I bought these for work...im a teacher. They are cute, fit as expected and comfortable. However, I got them on Dec 15th and the lacing that connects the top to the bottom of the shoe is coming apart! Dec 15th to Feb 1...less than 60 days later and I only wear them a few times a week. I cant return them as the window closed on jan 31st...one day before. Be aware! Not worth the $40!
