What I love about this Japanese green tea is for one thing it's very healthy with many health benefits to your body! Next is the taste it is very strong yet interesting to have fun drinking. I add some honey in mine to give it that extra kick of flavor to make it more enjoyable! This instant green tea is so easy to use in this form than the boxed one and even the tea bags! All you have to do is get a spoonful of Japanese green tea powder, mix it in water and ta-da! It's fast quick and easy to do! I also love that it is the REAL AUTHENTIC JAPANESE GREEN TEA! Unlike Lipton tea and American green tea for it's not really REAL Japanese green tea! You should give this Japanese green tea a try and tell me how you like it! You won't regret not having tasting something that's delicious and has so MANY health benefits to it also!

This is our everyday matcha. It's the best one in this price range. Obviously there are higher grade ones but if you are going to make your matcha a matcha latte then Ito En Matcha is perfect.
We make ours with a Thai brand coconut milk, 1/2 spoon of honey per cup & 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

We use a 1/2 to 1 small teaspoon of matcha powder. Use a sieve to make sure the matcha doesn't have clumps in the matcha bowl prior to adding water (we use an ordinary cereal bowl as we don't have ad edicated matcha one.) Add the hot water, add a splash first, whisk until the matcha is a smooth thickish viscous liquid. Then add more water and whisk until you get a nice foam. Pour into your cup/glass. (you could drink it as is. It might be too strong = add more hot water. To but be honest for pure matcha drinking we use another brand. Ito En shines most as a latter with coconut milk.

Then whisk the warmed up coconut milk (that you warmed together with vanilla and honey) until that has a foam, too. Now you can gently pour this over your matcha in the cup/glass. Take a sip. Need to add more hot water? maybe less or more coconut milk next time? Enjoy.

We are absolute coffee lovers but are feeling that coffee is depleting us too much. When we have matcha we get an energy boost, but with a more gentle delivery that lasts longer than the coffee-caffein rollercoaster. There are no jitters (unless we go crazy and drink several matcha).
