I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Yea it was a little tough to put together, but not because there was anything wrong with it, there's just a lot of tension in the pieces. In a couple of hours we had it assembled, filled, and fish swimming happily. The goldfish love the upgrade!

I was extremely hesitant to purchase this pond, purely based on the negative reviews, but we were moving into a temporary home for the next year and I needed a quick, non-permanent solution for my koi, so I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did! Most of the negative reviews were about how difficult the pond is to put together. We found a YouTube video from the manufacturer that made the instructions easier to understand and we had the pond up and running within 90 minutes. The filtration is impressive, as the water is always clear, but what I've been the most impressed by is how interactive my fish have become. They're constantly looking out the windows at us and have started letting us hand feed them and PET them! I actually feel a little guilty for having them in an in ground pond for the last 3 years after seeing how engaging they are now that they have a new view of the world.
This pond is pricey, but it was worth it for us. My only concern now is how I will insulate it during the winter months-I live in Colorado. With an in ground pond, we've always just kept a de-icer in the pond so it didn't fully freeze. We have this pond on a covered patio, but I'll need to do something more to prevent it all from freezing. Overall, this was a great find and I would suggest it to anyone looking for an above ground pond solution!

My only complaint is that the pegs that hold up the liner are not very good. I had to zip tie is as one of the pegs broke after filling it with water.

very hard to put together

Once I opened the package and read the directions and watched a few videos on you tube it was easy to put the frame together from the top down. I love it. My gosh are happy tooðŸŸ
