Great display and cool features. Will need time to configure it!
CrenberryApril 7, 2018
I really have a mix feeling about this product! Very cool gadget for sure but still needs little work. Here are my feedback after almost a week of using and potential improvements.

Pro:
- Easy to install. Just need to plug in the cable to the ODBII connector under your dashboard then run the wire up to the display console. The cable has decent length. I was able to run it along the side of my car and have enough length to connect to the HUB on the dashboard. But I do recommend to use the wire organizer clips to attach the wires to console to avoid kicking the wire by mistake.
- The data displayed seem to be accurate and in-sync with my dashboard
- Display and the reflector worked really well. I was able to see the data on my mirror during day and night regardless the brightness.

Con:
- This HUB display will not work out of the box. You will need to configured it as it supports both Imperial and Metrics. For example, MPH vs KM/H.

Overall I think it's a great head-up display. Would recommend the vendor to only provide imperial units here in US as this is what we're using to make it easier for the users here.
Works, but needs calibration before use. Also for NA, non-turbo cars.

Pros:
- Easy installation (just plug in OBD port, rout the wire, and place on dashboard)
- Long cable length (enough to cross the dashboard)
- Is visible without display sticker.
- Comes with silicone sticky dash pad and manual

Cons:
- Display sticker makes window intransparent, and needs to be placed too high up on my Chevy Cruze (seems to float a few inches above the hood)
- Fuel mileage is in L/100km or L/h. Can not be changed to MPG.
- On my Chevrolet Cruze, the calibration is horribly off. RPM was 10% off, speed was off by 5%, and fuel consumption cruising was 100% off (showed half what it should show).
- This unit is for NA cars. The Fuel consumption is way too off with turbo cars that consume lots more fuel under load.
- The Temperature sensor reads the temperature in F, and displays that value in C. Meaning, it thinks my engine is melting down because the water temp is at double the boiling point of water ( Engine temps are at 200F, the meter only shows up to 120C, but reads out 200C)
- I had some problems with the unit. It would power up by itself, running the battery empty. I'm still calibrating it.
- The numbers are almost not visible on a bright day, with the sun in the back (roof providing shadow on the light sensor) when not using the window reflector. The only other 2 settings aside from off, is low or high. At low, you can't see the leds at all during the day, and at high, they're very bright at night.

It's a gadget, it needs manual calibration and fine tuning.
The fine tuning process needs to be done with the manual next to you, because it's not self explanatory.
Although the menu structure is self explanatory (scroll wheel up, down, press in is ok), the order at which settings you're changing is not illustrated well.

Overall I think it's a great buy; though I wished these units came calibrated from the factory!
I find it hard for the unit not to know exactly what RPM range I'm in, from reading the OBD port.
Well made . . . but less than useful in the USA

==================================================

This HUD is an interesting device that caught my attention. I love clever gadgets but wasn't that interested in in this item. Then Seller sent an email offering to reimburse my purchase cost in return for a product review. The display unit, cable and display seem well manufactured. There is an issue with the end of the cable that connects to the car's diagnostic connector. It went on nicely but was very tight to get off. Same issue on three different vehicles. And several times when pulling it off the snap on cover split open and came off exposing wires on the back of the connector. It I was going to continue to use this gadget I would put a couple spots of glue on the cover before I put it back together.

There is a shortcoming with this product that makes it useless to me. The unit focuses on Metric measurements but also displays the US "Imperial" measurements of MILES and GALLONS. However, fuel consumption is ONLY displayed in Liters per Hour or Liters per Kilometer. It could, but does not, display Miles per Gallon, the common US measure. And real time gas economy is about the only info this could offer that would be of value since the car it would go in is the only one that doesn't already display MPG and the distance remaining on the fuel supply.

Manuals for technical products need to be clear and concise. The manual with this has a good deal of information and a number of good illustrations with call-outs, but the "English" is confusing and frustrating. I had to "read" the manual several times then experiment to figure out what I needed to do. Because of all the options on this HUD this was a time-consuming and frustrating experience.

The manual states that car instrument clusters are set to display a reading higher than actual values. If you want match the values on the HUD to match the instrument cluster you use an adjustment control to go to each of several display modes then modify the display reading until it matches the value shown on your instrument cluster. This is a very time consuming task with all the issues you are likely to encounter.
Very tunable and Useful!

This product is a great OBD2 live heads up display! It has a variety of different sensors and features which are all very tuneable to make sure they are just right for your car. Every single setting on here is 100% changeable which is absolutely great! One of my favorite sensors is the shift light/alarm which can be very helpful in a modified car or can be used by anyone who has a faulty meter on there dash. It can even clear engine codes! This product does everything that a normal Obd2 scanner does with torque pro without having to use your phone. Definitely something you don't see everyday and is definitely a attention grabber. Pro: Extremely Tunable, Plug and Play, Variety of sensors, Bright and Auto Adjusts, Metric and US Standard, Good Build Quality Con: Difficult to get reflection perfect, RPM does lag just a little, Not wireless, Refresh rate a little slow, Adjusting can be hard to figure out, Fuel Consumption in L/H not MPG *Quick tip, if you find your reflector is getting dirty on the adhesive because you messed with it, just use some packaging tape and stick it to the reflector side and pull it off to get any dirt or dust out of the reflector*
Upgrade how you drive! You'll never go back.

It's a bit tricky to figure out how to get rid of some of the alarms, but I got it after some trial and error. I use it every day without the screen on the windshield anymore and I'm perfectly satisfied. With the screen, it's even clearer but it's still 100% legible without it. Oh, I've been driving with it for over a year now by the way! Put it through cold winter and blazing hot summer days.

I will say, in regards to the few reviews here that mention it "Failing..." I have indeed have mine flicker on/off maybe 4 or 5 times in the past year. Each one of those times have been when I floored the gas or gone 70+ mph. It's like the computer gets surprised by the sudden speed change and resets. Again, this has only happened to me a couple of times and has not been an issue that's worth complaining about.

Received many, many questions and compliments on it. Lots of people started buying these after seeing it on my car, especially since it's affordable! I almost never look down at my gauges anymore because the MPH up on the windows is a life changer! Going back to driving other cars, I was shocked how primitive it felt to look down and read off the gauge. This is really a huge convenience!

My only suggestion is watch out when using it at night. It can be bright enough that some blue will shine on your window- this can hinder some visibility long distance. I hit a deer that jumped out from this side of the car and I'm not sure if things would have been different if it was turned off. I always turn it off at night now when I'm driving where I know deer live. It auto dims at night by the way.
