Works great in my radio go-box
Browncoats Unite!✓ Verified Purchase•August 30, 2023
I ordered this to install in a ham radio go-box. It was easy to install and works well. The volt meter is accurate when compared to the volt meter reading shown on the radio I use in the box. I installed it using the faceplate as a template and I cut the holes using a 1 1/8" hole saw. This comes with all of the necessary connectors, but not the electrical wire you need to wire it all up. You can also remove the various components and rearrange them as you need to. Overall, I'm quite pleased.
As advertised but..lack of instructions isn't an issue for someone with a little know how

No instructions inside on AWG of wire, AMP of fuse recommended or on the amazon info to what size and what type of bit to use, I used a 1 1/8 inch hole saw bit for the holes and a 10amp fuse for the meter and a 15 amp fuse for the 12volt power jack and a 5 amp fuse for the USB charger. I used 16 gauge AWG wire for the wirering

I installed these on a 2009 KLR 650. The outlets are nice and function as they should pay attention to the direction of the 12v plug and make sure it is oriented the right angle ( you will know what I'm talking about when you see the product up close.) The blue Volt meter is hard to see in the sunlight and is very bright at night. I tested it and it;s pretty accurate. Accurate enough. The USB works great and had no problem charging my iPhone 6s on my bike. I did take the out of the included plastic holder and install then in a hole that I drilled into some plastic. They have a nut on the back you tighten to install them.
Good price, product works as intended.

Super convenient having charging ports all in one device!

Installed this unit in my living quarter horse trailer so I could have a charging port for my usb devices and a 12 volt cigarette lighter style plug and thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a battery gauge as well! It works great my phones charge quickly! I have ran a fan with the 12 volt outlet and it works great as well! My only complaint would be the light on the screen for the battery charger is super bright! I am going to add a switch between the power and the unit so I can turn it off when I don't need to see the battery gauge. Overall I am very impressed!
Works Without Hassle

Am using this kit with a Cllena voltmeter in place of the 12v power outlet for a portable radio/speaker box and am quite satisfied. The included spade crimp on terminals are -okay-, but I do suggest soldering to the individual points and using heat shrink, or using heat shrink terminals. The included crimp connectors seem to be a more loose than I prefer and went a different route. If soldering, be quick; the plastic melts and had to replace a switch in another project due to leaving the soldering iron on too long.
