The fabric is high quality, and very lovely. I'm 5'5", 104 pounds. I bought two black skirts and one white skirt in size 4. The sizing isn't really uniform - one of the black skirts and the white skirt were slightly smaller in the waist than the other black skirt. And they all had to be taken in and shortened. However, having said that, once they were altered to fit my body shape, they came out gorgeous. So, yes, it may take some doing to get it fit perfectly, but it's well worth the effort.
